The following are some symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • Numbness, pain (often a burning pain), and tingling, in your thumb, index, or middle fingers
  • Tingling, numbness, or pain, which may move up your arm to your elbow
  • Weakness of your hand
  • Dropping objects (due to weakness)
  • Difficulty feeling and handling small objects

Symptoms may feel worse at night and can sometimes feel relieved if you "shaking out" your hands.
