The following are some symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Numbness, pain (often a burning pain), and tingling, in your thumb, index, or middle fingers
- Tingling, numbness, or pain, which may move up your arm to your elbow
- Weakness of your hand
- Dropping objects (due to weakness)
- Difficulty feeling and handling small objects
Symptoms may feel worse at night and can sometimes feel relieved if you "shaking out" your hands.
